No Stand Today

Won’t be setting up the produce stand in New Town, today. My honey needs me to drive him around the bean field to get both combines ready for harvest. Y’all know it’s THAT time of year and the harvest waits for no one, not even someone who had a triple bypass. I do have peas, butter beans, cantaloupe, cabbage, zucchini, new potatoes, onions, honey, eggs, and peach preserves. If you would like something, just contact me and I’ll meet you for an order pick up!

Cowboy Candy, Pepper Jelly & More!

I’m next to the Dollar General on HWY 4 East, just outside of Senatobia today until I sell out!

I have;

  • The last jar of cowboy candy and the last jar of pepper jelly that I had in the house with me
  • Peach preserves
  • 1 jar of Real honey!
  • Cantaloupe
  • Cabbage
  • Tomatoes
  • Peppers
  • Squash
  • Zucchini
  • Purple hull peas
  • Butter beans
  • Eggs

Come see me today!

Indoor Project

This is the project I’m working on in the house while my honey heals up. Turning over grown okra into soup thickener. I’m dehydrating it as I go and will be grinding it into a powder afterwards. You can buy okra powder as a gumbo seasoning in stores.

Okra has long been favored as a food for the health-conscious. It contains:

potassium
vitamin B
vitamin C
folic acid
calcium
It’s low in calories and has a high dietary fiber content. The immature seeds of the okra pod are suggested to help manage blood sugar in cases of type 1, type 2, and gestational diabetes.
