The next butcher will be towards the end of March or possibly into April depending on the butcher schedule. Eggs are continuing to increase now with our days getting longer again. I have goat milk again and if your freezer is getting low on peas, come see me and I’ll work you out a deal. February 8th 2022 Beef Update

The beef has finally been picked up! We are preparing packages today and tomorrow. I would like to start setting pick-up appointments beginning Thursday. Please message me with a 1-hour window of a time you could pick up your package between 10am and 6pm. I will respond with an exact appointment time as confirmation. After all appointments have been set for Thursday , we will begin setting appointments for Friday.

Store Opener/Assistant

I’m looking to hire a part-time to full-time store opener/assistant for the store and farm headquarters. Hours will increase closer to summer. The person should be available Tuesday through Saturday, 5am until 1pm. Must be over 18, have own transportation, be highly energetic, quick learner with high personal and kitchen cleanliness standards. Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented personality. Responsibilities would be sorting and organizing produce for store sales, cleaning, cooking, record keeping, canning, kitchen work, rotating goods, putting out stock, shelling peas, helping customers, inventory, etc etc. Starting pay will depend on what skill levels you already have, your ability to learn new skills, meet certain standards and achieve goals in a timely level. Quarterly reviews provide 4 opportunities to get a raise for the first year. Benefits package after the first year. Farmhand

We are located near Senatobia, in Tate county MS. Please live within 10 mile drive of Senatobia MS. You would be working with hoop houses, green house, transplanting, cattle, goats, fencing, tree trimming, row crop, planting, maintaining and picking produce, chickens, Livestock guard dogs, dairy, small walk behind equipment, push mowing, weed eating, planting, mulching, harvesting, picking, small construction projects and more. You will be using hand tools like: rake, shovel, machete, hoe, hammer, cutters, wheel barrow, hand pump sprayer, buckets, water hoses, etc. You may be operating push mower, walk behind tiller, zero turn mowers, small garden tractors, sprayers, planters, harvesters, or other equipment. This is a primarily outside, part-time to full time, year round position. Experience not necessary but farm familiarity is a plus. We have multiple farms located all over Tate county that you will be driving to. Pay is based on experience with first increase possible in 90 days. Job requirements:18 and over, with valid clean drivers license. Must have own transportation to headquarters- located in New Town/Senatobia.

Should be capable of working in Mississippi heat during summer, cold in winter, rain, bending, lifting 50 pounds without problem, etc etc. Start and end times vary throughout the year. The butcher is ready for this January beef and chevon to be taken in tomorrow morning. So get your freezers and remaining payments ready. I will update y’all again, when the butcher is ready for us to pick up.

We are going to be available to meet folks at the store Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday 1/3, 1/4, 1/5 this week. We have 10# pork packages for $42 available. There are still some beef packages available to get in on the January butcher. We have round rolls of hay $35Square bales of straw $6All purpose animal feed, 5-gallon bucket $8 refill. BYO Bucket or pay $10 deposit for ours. Deer/animal whole shelled corn $50 for drum full. BYO drum or pay $20 deposit for one of our drums. Egg laying is picking back up, chickens, dairy goats are milking again….. Frozen peas, corn, blackberries etc from summer. Canned preserves. New Arrival! Meet Ivy!

Welcome our new sweetheart into the world. The mothers name is Neri, she is Toggenburg. Her second time kidding gave us a precious little girl we named Ivy. Born first thing this morning and already bouncing around with the joy of life. It just replenishes my soul to watch these babies bounce and flip around. So excited for the new year coming up! We have BIG plans in store for our friends, customers, employees and family. Stay tuned y’all and don’t forget to buy a cold drink from the outside vending machine for a chance at the raffle prize.
